Via Umbria Celebrates Italian Women of the Renaissance

In celebration of Women's History Month, the National Organization of Italian American Women will host a presentation and dinner at Georgetown's Via Umbria restaurant on March 13th.  The event will acknowledge women who inspired some of the world's greatest artist: the muses of Raphael, Michelangelo, and Botticelli. 

 

Carla Gambescia, author of La Dolce Vita University:  An Unconventional Guide to Italian Culture from A to Z, will present tales of influential Renaissance women including Artemisia Gentileschi and Isabella D'Este.  For ticket prices and registration, click here.
