Washington, DC – Faction of Fools Theatre Company is proud to present THE GREAT ONE-MAN COMMEDIA EPIC, the signature work of Artistic Director Matthew R. Wilson, running this November 28th - December 20th at the Capitol Hill Arts Workshop. Premiered in Italy and performed around the world, THE GREAT ONE-MAN COMMEDIA EPIC receives its first extended run in Washington, DC this holiday season. In a comedic tour de farce, Matthew R. Wilson brings to life twelve characters from the Commedia dell'Arte tradition, featuring hand-crafted masks by Antonio Fava, in 80 minutes of physical comedy for the entire family.
In THE GREAT ONE-MAN COMMEDIA EPIC, international physical comedian Matthew R. Wilson single-handedly transforms a bare stage into a raucous world of young lovers, squabbling old men, boasting soldiers, and dim-witted servants. The entire town is thrust to the brink of tragedy (even forcing Wilson to duel himself!) before love prevails, normalcy is restored, and comedy triumphs.
For all newbies of 'Faction of Foolery,' this production is a must see event. Matt Wilson is hilarious and amazingly talent. This is a great introduction to the many masks of Commedia revelry. You will leave with a really big smile on your face and possibly still laughing. Grab a bite before and bring a friend!
