Dine out Locally and Give the Gift of Education to a Child.

Dine out at Osteria Marzano, local modern Italian restaurant and bar in Alexandria, VA on Thursday, January 29, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and help give the gift of education for an orphan in Guatemala.  Osteria Marzano; Charity Partner, Arbonne; and non-profit organization, ”For the Love of Mateo” have joined forces to host a charity fundraiser to raise money to build a school for orphans in Guatelmala.

“ Osteria Marzano is thrilled to be partnering with “For the Love of Mateo" because Guatemalan orphans hold a dear spot in our hearts. My youngest brother, Gianluca, was adopted and when we went through the whole process, we were heartbroken at the number of children that didn't have a roof over their heads and lived in poverty. This event will contribute to building a school for orphans of Mateo.  This charity is near and dear to our hearts, ” says Elena Bruzzo-Pouchelan, Manager and Co-owner of Osteria Marzano.

Raffle tickets available for spa services, jewelry, restaurant gift cards and more!  Osteria Marzano will donate a portion of dinner sales to the benefit. Osteria Marzano, 6361 Walker Lane. Suite 140 (Metro Park VI) Alexandria, VA 22310
Free and Open to the public.  Raffle sales available and from 5-9.  Seating is limited, please RSVP at 703-313-9700.

About “For the Love of Mateo”

For the Love of Mateo is an official 5013C Non For Profit. For the Love of Mateo’s mission is to provide financial support as well as experiences for the children of Hogar Luz De Maria, a Hogar in Guatemala City through a monthly sponsorship program as well as bi-yearly mission trips to visit the children. Valerie, the founder of For the Love of Mateo primarily wanted to start her non for profit to support the children at the Hogar where her son that she adopted, lived until he came home. Although as For the Love of Mateo has expanded we have added a few other missions to our giving. For the Love of Mateo also supports two other organizations in Guatemala, The Bunk Bed Project and Ninos Con Bendicion. The Bunk Bed Project provides beds for families that wouldn’t otherwise have one and Ninos Con Bendicion provides financial support for education as well as educational programs for the children of impoverished families in San Antonio Aguas Calientes.
